The only therapeutic horseback riding center in Connecticut affiliated with a hospital, Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center at Daniels' Farm in Middletown, offers children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding for therapeutic, recreational, sport and educational purposes. The human-animal bond is a powerful force, and is one of the most important elements of the program. Therapeutic riding also improves muscle tone, head control, increases mobility, coordination, physical strength, confidence and self-esteem.
