Our junior program makes sailing fun for kids. We offer programs for ages 6-9 and 10-12, & 13-16, in convenient weekly sessions, July-August, from 9-12PM or 1-4PM. There are never more than 5 students per boat and per instructor. We think sailing should be more than just racing small dingys around some buoys. Our goal is to help give children an appreciation of our marine environment, and teach them a range of skills from species identification to general seamanship. Safety is all important. Our Norwalk Cove Marina facility, is in a safe, family-orientated area. Our boats are unsinkable, with keels to prevent capsizing. We always have at least one USCG (US Coast Guard) licensed captain on hand. Every boat has an instructor aboard at all times, and all our boats have full safety equipment.
